“Ana Masry” grants approximately 750,000 EGP to youth in Qena and Luxor
Qena, Egypt — The Qena Governorate witnessed today the annual ceremony for the graduation of participants in the “From Skill to Profit” project, which is implemented by the Ana Masry Association for Development and Training. The project is considered one of the most prominent development initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of youth and empowering them economically within the governorate.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, and in the presence of Mr. Magdy Naguib, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and Dr. Naglaa Bakhom, Chairperson of the Association’s Board of Directors, the ceremony celebrated the graduation and honoring of 43 young men and women representing 21 income-generating practices.
During the ceremony, financial grants totaling 750,000 Egyptian Pounds (EGP) were provided to fund the graduates’ small projects. This direct support aims to help the youth convert the skills they acquired into sustainable job opportunities and productive projects. This step comes as part of the project’s second phase, which seeks to support an additional 150 young individuals with funding reaching 2.5 million EGP during the upcoming phases.
The Association’s management emphasized that the project is not limited to financial support only, but also offers an integrated program that includes advanced and intensive training, in addition to field work camps, ensuring the graduates’ ability to build an independent and prosperous professional future.
The attendees praised the tangible impact of the project in fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth, and enabling them to transition from the training stage to practical implementation and achieving economic feasibility.
The “From Skill to Profit” project is considered a model for effective developmental work and community partnership, as it directly contributes to enhancing youth participation in the national economy and achieving sustainable development within the governorate.
