Empowering creativity in Qena — a new painting training hall set up as part of entrepreneurial projects with the support of the GIZ

As part of efforts to support entrepreneurial projects in Qena Governorate, a specialized painting training hall has been fully prepared for children and adults, benefiting Fatma Morsi, with the aim of enabling her to turn her talent into a sustainable source of income.

This initiative is part of a series of projects implemented by the Egyptian-German Center for Jobs, Migration, and Reintegration, in collaboration with Ana Masry Association for Development and Training, aiming to support young men and women in developing their entrepreneurial projects and linking them to the local labor market.

The training hall stands as an inspiring model of art-based development projects, providing a safe and stimulating space for learning and creative expression, and offering people of all ages the opportunity to discover their abilities and develop their skills.

Commenting on the project, MP Dr. Naglaa Bakhoum, Chairperson of Ana Masry Association, said:

“At the Association, we believe that art is not only a means of expression but also a gateway to economic empowerment. Fatma is an inspiring example of a young woman who transformed her passion into a project that opens new horizons for others.”

Fatma Morsi, the beneficiary, expressed her gratitude, saying:

“I’ve long dreamed of having a place to teach children how to paint, and this dream has come true thanks to the support of the Egyptian-German Center and Ana Masry Association. This hall is a new beginning for me and for many others who can discover themselves through art.”

Project organizers emphasized that this step is part of a broader vision to support the local economy through community innovation and micro-projects, helping to enhance self-employment opportunities and build successful women-led initiatives in Upper Egypt.
